June 2013 Shortlist - Christian Couzin, France

Saumur

Christian's Dragonfly capture comes from Port-Vendres in France where he has captured the Saumur wreck. Around 100m in length the cargo ship was built in Scotland in 1920 before being handed over to the Germans in 1942. In 1944 it was torpedoed by a British submarine. It is the largest wreck in the region resting at 45m.

"I had a Raymarine A60 on my old boat and was always satisfied by Raymarine products. When I bought my new boat it had no GPS or fishfinder. I looked on the Raymarine website and came across the new Dragonfly.

This product is really fantastic, very easy to use, and especially very successful on Downvision, been able to visualize a ship wreck and especially with photo-like clarity is really brilliant. We have many shipwrecks in our region, I’m sure my Dragonfly will be able to capture these beautifully!

I’m a member of St Cyprien fishing club (south of France), and my Dragonfly is going to make many people envious!"
